How dramatically does a sound card increase audio quality?

I currently have Logitech X-540 Lautsprecher.Wenn I play audio from one of the speakers, the sound is really bad / low Qualität.Wenn I regularly sit in my chair, but it sounds good, because I have all the speakers and subwoofer to hear at a time. If I have a decent sound card that would improve sound quality in the individual speakers bought? At the moment I am alone with the onboard Realtek HD Audio.Außerdem buying a better sound card, only the audio sound is generally better?

The soundcard really doesn’t improve the quality much. Most modern cards are awesome. The speakers and equalizers make the most difference.

Erm I’m no audiophile or anything but

Aren’t multi speaker systems meant to be used at the same time, ie different waves lengths or frequencies whatever come from different speakers to make the complete sound, so listening to just one, would sound awful?

Someone correct me if am wrong please!

Realtek HD Audio is actually a very decent audio device. You may see very small improvements in sound quality if you spend maybe 40-50 dollars on a card from creative, however you would probably see more of a difference using that money on new speakers. I use Realtek HD Audio to run my 5.1 surround sound system and it sounds great, I would not get a new sound card, but instead new speakers.
