I recently ordered 4 adult coloring books. Of the 4, this Paisley Designs book caught my eye first. I’ve colored three pictures in this book so far and plan to color many more. I feel the designs are creative and varied. The designs are on both sides of the pages and some have very teeny, tiny details that need to be colored in. A sharp pencil is a must. Because some of the areas are so small, I am considering purchasing a magnifying product for future coloring projects.
At first, I used my old colored pencils, but found it difficult to keep a point on them. I purchased Crayola Twistable Colored Pencils and had a much easier time coloring the tiny spaces that are in some of the designs. I always put a piece of notebook paper directly behind the page I’m coloring to protect those pages. I found that the pressure I use when coloring the page will cause the black ink, used in the book, to transfer onto the pages that are behind the one I’m coloring. The black ink is transferred onto the notebook paper instead, keeping the pages behind the one I’m coloring neater.
I’m having fun with this book and can’t wait til I have time to color another picture.

The designs in this book are all decepitively difficult and super cool , but they are also super tight .
I highly recommend using fine line or brush tip markers / pens as a medium .
If you decide to go with colored pencils keep your sharpener handy !
Some of the designs would be even suitable to cut out and make into stencils if you were wanting to do a larger project .
The size of the pages are adequate for copying if you need room to plan for mistakes !

This is a nice book but not my style. I still feel that other who like paisley prints will love this. I like it but not my favorite

I love to paint ‘retro’ 60’s designs. . . . there used to be a huge variety of cool paisley designes. . . this book really does not show nearly the variations that I expected, but would be fun it indeed you just were after something to color for meditation

This is a great coloring book for adults who want to experiment with colors. I enjoyed being able to use lots of color combinations with many small and large spaces. This was intricate enough to feel a little challenged. I can’t draw, so it was fun to color and to exercise my creativity with color.
